We are building a community here at Second Summer Cycle. One that comes together regularly to uplift and support each other and our common goals. We invite you to join us throughout the year leading up to Second Summer Cycle.
From group training rides to fundraisers to information sessions, there are many ways to get involved with your fellow riders, volunteers, and sponsors before the ride. We hope to see you soon!
April 26 – Training Rides: Second Summer Cycle and Cape cod Cycling Club
Dennis Cycle Center, 249 Great Western Road, Dennis (you can park in their lot,
or at the Cape cod Rail Trail lot on Route 134 where there is plenty of parking and
ride the 1.2 mile to the Bike Shop)
8:30 AM – arrive + quick bike checks / safety basics
9:15 AM – ride out in groups:
• Beginners (bike path only ~5 miles, also option to do a total of 10-12)
More experienced Riders: The groups below are organized by riding pace as well
as distance; they will ride mainly on roads, with some short bike path sections
• 12–14 mph (~18 miles)
• 14–16 mph (~26 miles)
• 17+ mph (~37 miles)

May 10 – Women’s Ride with Sea Sports Cyclery
1441 Iyannough Rd. Hyannis, MA
There will be different groups and paces; but this is a ride for those who have
experience riding in groups and on the road.
7:30–7:45 AM – arrive
8:00 AM – roll out
Refreshments served after (?) the Ride.
Tour de Barnstable: May 31 st Starting and ending at Kalmus Beach
Multiple routes mostly on road; from 19-60+ miles

You will be required to sign a waiver at all rides.

IT’s early in the season; keep checking with other bike shops to see what rides
they have leaving from their shops!
Many of the rides above have minimum paces and mileage listed; be sure you can
keep the pace that is listed.
